Problem
Many companies have corrosion issues when “J” calibration plugs and jacks are exposed to high humidity. The iron leg often rusts severely enough to cause signal errors or even open circuits.  This has been a chronic issues for many industries, particularly the cement industry.

Solution
TCS’s solution is to replace the iron leg with another alloy that does not rust and has very similar EMF output to iron in the normal operating range of the connector.

 

Results
Our clients can now provide a simple substitute “J”  plug and mating jack or panel insert that will not rust, eliminating a problem their clients have been dealing with for years.  Please note that both mating connectors must be replaced or significant errors may result.
