Mini Captured Cover Screws - Case Study 6

Problem
All our clients have commented favourably on our captured cover screw feature used on the standard connectors. In some cases even their clients have stipulate that this is the only design they will accept. Our clients asked “… why can’t you do the same with the miniature connectors? We are forever running after the cover screws as they fall out on the bench or the floor ….” 

Solution
 Redesign the cover of the miniature connectors so that the cover screws remain in the cover when it is removed. 

 

Results
No miniature connector until now, have had captured cover screws. Client feedback has been excellent, they love the improved miniature connectors because they:

 

1. Eliminate wasted time, when chase cover screws around the floor or bench

2. Eliminate the need to free issue cover screws to the shop floor

3. Solve  a problem that has frustrated staff and their clients for years
